SYNASTRY: New Material Posted Online
June 9, 2009Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based death metallers SYNASTRY have posted two new songs — "Dividing The Double Helix" and "Dead To Me" — on their MySpace page. The tracks will appear on the quartet's sophomore album, "Our Memetic Imprints", which is due before the end of the year. The CD was recorded in Montreal with producer Jean-Francois Dagenais (MISERY INDEX, DESPISED ICON, MALEVOLENT CREATION) from KATAKLYSM.
"The new album, 'Our Memetic Imprints', brings to the table what SYNASTRY has been about since we started: intense, intricate music that carries a message home and isn’t filled with the same shallow pretenses that modern music seems to be brimming with these days," says frontman Jimmy Anastasopoulos. "Musically, vocally and lyrically, we have grown as a band, and life on the road has been a great part of that growth."
SYNASTRY created a buzz within the death metal scene with a relentless tour schedule that has seen the band opening for ROTTING CHRIST, FOREVER IN TERROR and 3 MILE SCREAM. Meanwhile the group's growing presence in the online world earned them the #1 ranked unsigned band in MySpace's Death Metal category prior to the release of their debut album, "Blind Eyes Bleed", which was issued through Year of the Sun Records.
SYNASTRY's unique mixture of classic death metal and pulsing industrial has allowed them to stand out in a crowded Montreal scene that has birthed CRYPTOPSY, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, ION DISSONANCE and THE AGONIST, along with newcomers DERELICT and BLACKGUARD.
